St. Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museum<br/> </li> <li>Fountain of Trevi</li> <li>Spanish Steps</li> <li>The stores that reminded me of Felice near the Spanish Steps</li> <li>Some churches where I was informed I can’t wear shorts</li> <li>Colosseum</li> <li>Palatino - They say hi to each other even if they don’t know each other.</li> <li>Lotsa birds.</li> <li>Grazie is pronounced graht-zeh instead of what I thought was graht-zeeh.</li> <li>Italians don’t smile much back when you smile at them. It was raining earlier but now the sun is shining. I feel like I’ve lost motivation but I guess I just gotta keep on truckin’…</p> <p>Update on Pisa and Florence:</p> <p>I went to Pisa with Tita’s friend, Orlan. He’s been before so he went with me to go see it. It was pretty cool. Everything was nearby—duomo, piazza, cathedral, and the tower. We took so many pictures and I tried to go shopping but I just got a shotglass and an apron. After that, we went up the tower. There were so many steps and of course, they were tilted. It definitely tested my fear of heights and claustrophobia but it was all worth it to be up on the top. It was breathtaking—the houses, churchtops, mountains! The breeze was nice too cuz the sun was BEAMING. I am now dark.</p> <p><br/>When we got back to Florence, we went to Piazza Michelangiolo. It’s basically a place that overlooked the city from the top of a hill. Again, breathtaking. We went there before the sunset. Man, it was really nice to watch. While we were there, someone played techno music, What Is Love, and Hammer Time. I was standing next to some ppl during What Is Love and we started bopping our heads..it was funny. It also showed we were American haha. Anyway, I posted pictures up on facebook so check those out. I don’t think I’ll be able to update as much when I get to Rome because the place we’re staying has limited stuff.
